Is there a such thing as a picture journal? Bc that is ultimately what this blog has become..a place to post all the pictures that I love and that I don't want to spam people with on social media haha. Journals are good for that right? Thoughts and things that might not be important to very many other people, but vastly important to those write them I think! So I'm just gonna go for it and not worry about it!
Christmas and New Years 2018 is a wrap people! It was two weeks of full throttle, non stop loud crazy beautiful fun with our family and friends in our favourite city. It was party after party, be it events we went to, or just hanging out at the houses with various streams of people. And even though I loved every second of it, I think even this extrovert is ready for some boring old routine and early nights haha. My parents were wonderful hosts despite the ever moving parts of 17 people under one roof [7 of them being kids] and various needs and schedules. Lester's parents were kind and generous and always willing to do things with us whenever we were able. Some high lights were Christmas parties with the Hanaike's, Christmas morning stockings, presents and breakfast with my family, a Christmas dinner with Lester's [that beef roast was everything..], party hopping 3 New Years parties and then our parents places, trips to the city with tourist destinations [like China town and Chrissy field] and non touristy ones [like our favourite parks and ice cream places], beach walks and play dates with friends, farmers markets, switch games, board games and just dance, trips to the movies to see Mary Poppins, book club, Dandelion a million times over, food in the city, dress up days, ugly sweater cookie decorating contests and Kringle baking, Sam's bday and giant bubble blowing, visiting our Grandmas and much much more.
And now that its all said and done, we are back in our little, quiet cozy apartment in Boise. Its different here-but not all bad. And I'm glad we have each other, and the nice things that Idaho has to offer, at least for the next 2 years or so. It has been a wonderful year, and I am feeling cautiously optimistic about all that lies ahead of us this 2019.
