When I sat down to write this post, I was feeling like we didn't do much in the month of March. But then I saw the pictures and was writing the details, and I was surprised by how much fun we packed into those few weeks! Thats one of the reasons I like looking back. Helps me to appreciate the good times more, and reflect on how we got through hard things and how we may have changed from the experience. So here are the details on all that. In March we did the following:

-celebrated my birthday my 34th bday. We made coconut lemon cheesecake, I got some flowers and other fun stuff and even got some time ALONE to shop, read and do whatever the heck I wanted. It was a complete dream! Here's to another year of life and making magic w my people.

-Went to some natural hot springs one amazing weekend and steamed our troubles away.

-did some baking, cooking and eating out. Of course, for pi day as well. Tried some new recipes and did some old and it was a blast. Lots of experimenting and what not. A good creative outlet!

[These are both Thomas Keller Bouchon recipes, and I have to tell you-those Financiers were mind blowing.]

-celebrated women's history month and St. Patty's Day. We talked about women we've heard of, ones we haven't, the impact they've had, and the history that we can help reclaim. We also talked about the women in our own lives and the differences they've made, and the ones we can hope to make ourselves. I love stuff like this and the many amazing resources that are out there now! On St. Patty's Day Larry The Leprechaun hid the kids clothes and made them a green banana bread cake and it was low key fun.

[wonder women bingo, and Bravery Magazine coloring books, postcards and some of their editions. The women who run it have made the brave choice to end their production of the magazine to put their own, and their families lives and needs first, despite being a thriving renowned business. I applaud them for this! I think this is another form of bravery and positive mental health examples I'm seeing these days and I'm here for it. But we are all going to miss it, and its left Addy in her feelings haha-hence the laying them all out and laying on top of them one day haha.]

-did lots of coloring and school stuff, jobs and life things. Tal has been just the best companion on all the Costco runs, drop offs and picks ups, and loves to try to help with all the jobs, and do everything her siblings are doing. She is such a joy to literally everyone she meets.

[did I mention we're still deep in our HP phase? One day Isla wanted to tell fortunes and do tricks in the garage so we came and participated while she did that.]

[Bear's in an intense Dino phase and so we got him this egg project. Took 2 weeks and he was ELATED when it hatched.]

[These beauties are from my SIL and we brought them all the way back from CA to let them bloom on our table. Makes it feel more homey here and I love it.]

-took an unexpected, and amazing 10 day trip home for Spring Break with lots of little high lights, like Hannah's amazing bday party [and a few other things-see details below.] I think we are all a bit road tripped out now, but we always love it when we get to our destinations! And there was so much fun while we were there.

[Mamahuhu is a newish spot close to our favorite book store. So so good.]

[Monterrey Aquarium one morning with Lolo]

[Farmers Market Fun w Lester's Family]

[Beach Days and walks w my family]

[Mall days and Mochi Donuts]

[Hannah's amazing bday party and fun w my family throughout the week!]

-but most importantly WE MATCHED! After years of hard work, sacrifice, investment and uncertainty [from all of us, kids included!], Lester officially got a well earned Internal Medicine residency in Washington. Which means that once again, our time in Idaho is coming to a close. I would be lying if I said we were anything short of elated for it. That said, we are grateful for lessons we learned about ourselves and life, and for the time we got to cherish being together in the place my grandparents grew up and met. Lots of hard in these years, lots of growth, and lots of good too. We are so excited for the things ahead and to be living in the PNW!

[Finding out where we matched!]
