Well. Weeks have gone by-and life keeps moving forward, even when in the moments when we don't want it to, or when the days blur together into some kind of endless mass. Easter came early, as we mixed up the dates and thought it was a week earlier than it was. We had an indoor Easter egg hunt, made our traditional Gma cake, and dyed eggs. The actual 'correct' date, we talked about the sacrifices we are all making and that Jesus made, and the blessings that have and will come from that. We made morning buns [a first for me and the kids, but a memory revisited for Lester], made BLT's [bc thats what they requested of all things!] and spent time coloring and being together.

Staying physically active has been a bit of a hit or miss thing, but we try to get outside and enjoy this beautiful Earth of ours as often as we can, and at least in this regard, Idaho has been living up to that whenever the weather permits. When we can't get outside or its too crowded [looking at you Jump Creek] we end up trying to do things like yoga, or exercise tools like Go Noodle etc. Its all been an adventure.

The last few weeks we have also spent a lot of time learning from home, as school has been cancelled for the rest of the year. In the end, we've ended up combining a lot different things, like the the resources and class meetings from their actual classes, curriculum and activities from friends, resources from home like the Exploratorium, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and of course, our favorite, Bravery, with a few other things thrown in that the kids expressed interest in. Its honestly been a whole lots of work for all of us, but the kids have really risen to the occasion and I think I really truly cherish these experiences of being such an active part of their education.
We have of course tried to stay mentally active ourselves, Lester w school, me w my always learning new cooking/baking skills, and also through reading and various podcasts, and wonderful video chatting w friends and family.

I think, like everyone, we feel like we will be so happy when this virus is no longer an issue and the shelter in place/quarantine is lifted. But I know I for one will also feel grateful for the rare, forced chance that we had to cherish each other and our simpler, safe, and loved life during this time. And of course for all the memories we made and the lessons we've learned. I hope they last well beyond our next several years.
