Spring & All the May Holidays

Ok guys-its been a minute. Since Easter, we've been adjusting to cast life [Micheal Scott was right-being handicapped is NOT a laughing matter haha..] and trying to still get along with life responsibilities and stuff like that. Still, the gorgeous gorgeous Spring flowers and trees have made that a little more bearable and we've managed to enjoy some fun stuff since then.

Addy and I had a special Mommy daughter day and went to the salon to get our hair did. Which was fitting since I think its been a since before she was born that I'd done something like this.  We got matching curls when we were done and it was a good refresh.

We've been enjoying alot of farmers markets days, and walks around all the beautiful trees and baby ducklings in the parks lately, wheelchair and all. Every week they give the kids tokens for fruit, veggies or plants. So one week when they picked little micro basil plants, we told them they had to use on pizza for dinner one night. They loves using the tweezers and getting to help in the kitchen. They even had a kids cooking class the following week-so that has been awesome.

We also celebrated Dia De Los Ninos, and Star Wars on May the 4th with our amazing local library. We ate lots of amazing Hispanic treats, learned how to make paper flowers, and learned to dance like a mariposa. For Star Wars, we stopped at the star port, and got stamped at various planet stations-like Dagobah for static training, blaster training on Endor, avoided the Sarlac pit elsewhere, and learned lightsaber training with various Jedi masters, It was all wonderful and helped make normal days feel special.

We also pulled out the papel picado and celebrated Cinco De Mayo by having some a potluck w some friends [no pictures, lame haha!]. Lester got to make horchata, and grill some meat, and we got to make Giddy's families refried beans and some Spanish rice. Between that and all the delicious stuff everyone else brought, we had a feast and enjoyed playing games and catching up.

Since then, its just been our usual-school, errands, apart
