Doing Her Own Thing

Isn't it funny how right when you think you've got things figured out, you get a thrown a curve ball? I blogged throughout my pregnancy with Addy quite a bit, and thought I had things figured out. But of course this one is different-in some ways better, in some ways worse. She is doing her own thing. I wanted to take a second to record some of those differences for memories sake.
Last time, I craved a lot of marinara/Italian stuff. Pizza, pasta, lasagna, etc. While those things still consistently don't make me gag now, there is, without question a stand out craving this pregnancy.
LEMON BARS. all the time, everywhere, everyday everyday everyday. Lester & Luke are supportive of it haha, but the rest of my family is starting to think that either me or the baby are going to be tinged yellow. Oh gosh, I love them so much I feel like it should gross me out but it doesn't-seriously talking about them right now I am about to go whip up some more. They are just so SO good I can't stand it. I wonder if after this pregnancy I will need to take a break from them. Right now, the thought of that hurts. Thank goodness to Amy for hooking me up with a good recipe.
I also mentioned a while ago that I haven't been as sick this time around. This is true for the most part, except last time the nausea and morning sickness went away after the first trimester. This time, instead of going away it got worse. Finally, one day I found myself having thrown up five times by noon, and feeling like I was gonna pass out, dizzy. etc. So I ended up at the doctors with some IVs as a result of dehydration and I decided that this time, I would take the dr up on the anti nausea medicine [Zofran]. Now that I have that aiding me, every things pretty peachy.
Another difference is the naming process. With Addy, we were between two names, specifically from Australia where Lester grew up. We decided early on Adelaide, and found it suited her perfectly. This time we are just now coming to a name that we feel suits this little one. For a while we heard several that we didn't hate, but didn't love either. But we think we are close now to the final product. We look forward to meeting her and seeing if this name was meant for her.
She is also much more consistently active. Last time, there were points in the day where Addy was all movement, and parts where she would relax and be chill. This child-there is no down time-day, night she is kicking, pushing, and letting me know she is there! It is a little crazy. I think she will be an energetic kid.
All in all, it all feels like its going much faster, which is great bc we can't wait to meet her officially! Love both these girl so much.
[you can also see that my baby bump make a nice little seat for Ms. Addy. Lets hope she doesn't try to sit on her sister when she's actually here haha!]
