Fun Things

Here are some of the fun little things we've been up to lately. While Hillary and Audrey were here, we were able to spend a lot of time together [I'll put a bit more about that another time]. One of those nights, when everyone else had school and church commitments, we decided to finally try out Off The Grid [a food truck fair of sorts] since it was close by. Although it was cold, it was so much fun sampling all the different foods, listening to live music, watching our girls enjoy each other while we did the same. I wish we lived closer so it could become a more regular thing, but at least the moments we do get to spend together are special I suppose.
[Daddy was hungry..plus who wouldn't want to nibble that delicious adorable little face?]
My youngest sister Samantha has been keeping us all on our toes with all the exciting accomplishments going on in her life right now. This week, she received her Personal Progress award, her Young Women's Medallion, which is much like the equivalent of an Eagle Scout Award for Boy Scouts. It takes lots of time, work and effort and after years of working towards it, she received recognition for it. Then, later this week she has prom, and high school graduation comes next week. Then she is off to Utah to spend and exciting few weeks living it up with family and friends. We are so happy and so proud to see the ways she has grown, and are excited to watch her continue to do so. Congrats to Sam!
We have been spending a lot of time outside with all the heat and sunshine we've had here lately. This is one of the many reasons I'm so glad we've cleaned up the backyard. Its definitely been a lot of work, and it has a way to go, but we have enjoyed starting a little garden, BBQing, and most of all, giving Addy a place to play on the days Mommy feels to yucky to go out much. We play ball, practice letters and play with sidewalk chalk [we're currently on letter J] and enjoy her slide, etc.We have yet to buy a kiddie pool, but it is next on our list. Until then, Uncle Luke has been a great sport about playing with her in her little makeshift 'pool'. He is such a good sport, and she wants to be just like him.
[goofing off, taking pictures with Luke and Grandpa]
[copying Sam and Luke who were getting a friends helps with hemming a dress/pants etc].
Other then that, just pregnancy and work work work for us. Baby and is FAR more active then Addy ever was, and has been giving me Braxton Hicks [false labor] every other day or so. But she still needs to bake some more, so hopefully she can stay put for a bit longer. I have moved on from my lemon bar cravings to these Madeline cookies. I though this picture was funny bc I didn't realize until afterwards that my bump wanted to be in the picture. Goood times haha.
Don't remember if I mentioned or not, but Lester will be starting school again [a post bad program through SF state] in June so that will be a change up-hopefully a good one. Were so lucky to have such a hard working husband/Daddy to support and love us. We're excited for this new adventure and are sure it will be a good thing for us all in the long run. So thats whats up with us lately!
Love them.
