Second: A Trip Home

The second thing on my summer 'fingers-crossed' list was a trip to visit home/family. I wasn't sure if we would be able to pull this one off this year, but I am so so happy we were able to work it out. This time around we were there for a shorter stretch, but we jam packed it with lots of family and friend time. We had trips to the beach, visits to our favorite spots in the city and so on. It was all great. We checked out the Mission, Ferry Building and other spots for our favorite foods, early morning foggy family pictures at the Marin headlands, had brunches with friends, mall time and farmers markets for the pre teens at Serramonte, way too late nights playing cards, watching shows and baking together, painting activities, ice cream truck visits, geodes with Grandpa, a concert from the cousins [all planned in their little tree haven on the hill], silly string madness, park days in the city with relay races and dog piles, library days and more. I loved every second of these moments. And now we are back home, with plans to knock out the third and fourth thing on my big summer plans list. And right now, I am enjoying these in between weeks in our little home doing normal life things-I think the best lives have both of those. Hooray for Summer! Here are some pictures of some of all the fun!
